Miss Nadia
Hi there,
My name is Nadia and I am a teacher.
I haven't always been one though, and many situations have led me to this path.
For a very long time, I have had a passion for helping children. I enrolled at Dawson College in the Child Studies program because I thought it would help me discover what I wanted to be. Instead of helping, it made things a bit more confusing. Did I want to be a teacher or social worker? I struggled with this decision for a while, until I ultimately decided I would be able to help students more at school. I have the power in my classroom to make a student's day a bit brighter, and to me that means the most. There is nothing more rewarding than helping students overcome their difficulties, and for them to realize that they are capable of achieving success.
Besides teaching, I am in love with books. I collect all kinds (children's, classics, young adult, etc...)
Another passion of mine is the art of scrap-booking. I love to take my pictures and create art with them.
I have recently taken an interest in cooking and baking. It involves experimenting and being creative which is enjoyable for me.
I also enjoy traveling. I hope to one day travel through Europe. I am Italian and would love to visit a place where I am culturally connected to. I think it would be amazing to bring new ideas from other countries into my classroom. This way I can have a diverse classroom with diverse students.
